Chief Dan More' and President Clarence "Chip" Jewell recently received service awards at the annual Frederick County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association Awards Ceremony.
Chief More' received the Michael Wilcom Officer of the Year Award for his dedication as the chief in his home department while also dedicating time and effort as the Battalion 4 representative to the Operations Committee and his continued leadership on county wide issues and procedures that would have a direct effect on the volunteer fire and rescue service.
President Jewell received the Bruce Reeder, Sr. "Golden" Service Award presented by the Reeder Family in honor of their father, the late County Commissioner Bruce Reeder. This award is presented to an individual with at least 50 years of volunteer fire and rescue service that has provided outstanding leadership and dedication to his/her company, county and/or state fire and rescue service.
